B&G /Simrad WS710 Vertical Wind Sensor Only (0.8m)
SKU.000-14392-001
The WS700 wind sensors have been designed to provide a highly accurate cabled sensor, on a range of vertical carbon spars to suit all race yachts and larger cruising yachts, up to Superyacht size.
High accuracy* for the best instrument and autopilot performance. High performance aerodynamic design is the result of over 500 individual wind tunnel tests
Choice of units with 6 options of vertical high-modulus carbon spars from 0.8 to 1.8m**
Wide compatibility – connect via optional interface to a NMEA 2000® network, or direct to a NMEA 0183 input on H5000 or WTP3 systems
Straight-forward installation. Single cable, cable runs of up to 80m
The WS710 high-performance wind sensor offers superb aerodynamics and accuracy. A 0.8m high modulus carbon spar elevates the wind sensor into clear air, above any sail-plan disturbance at the masthead.
The WS700 series is the ultimate wind sensor for performance sailing, providing the most accurate wind angle and speed data. The new one-piece vane design gives superb aerodynamics and stability, as a result of over 200,000 hours of combined design and wind tunnel testing.
Higher altitude for clearer readings
The vertical spar minimises the effect of sail-plan on wind measurement ensuring the best performance with minimum calibration. This means reliable True Wind Direction to make precise race calls when needed and better steer-to-wind performance in all conditions when on autopilot.
Flexibility
Choose from 6 options of vertical high-modulus carbon spars from 0.8 to 1.8m**
WS700 series follows the same physical mounting as previous models (VHMU) providing an easy upgrade path.
Wide compatibility
Connect directly to H5000 or WTP3 via a NMEA 0183 input or to NMEA 2000 via the wired interface (sold separately)
Straightforward installation
WS700 connects to your instrument system via a single mast cable, available in 4 different lengths from 25 to 80m.
